The more I research, the more I see play-by-post roleplays as akin to street art. Its designable surfaces are dependent on the inflexible pre-existing architecture. I feel like there's a kind of punk design direction in finding unintended uses for website features for roleplay.
I had a dream. Something about appreciating games as a diptych while seeing multiplayer and tabletop games as a triptych. I no longer remember the context but I wonder what my dream self was going with this.
This rabbithole of trpg design theory is littered with ancient essays, poetic blog posts, and terms whose etymologies unclear except to those who were there when they were written. A social archeology than kinematics of play.

Weaponizing my depersonalization by typing what I feel and replying as if its someone else. If I do my best to be caring to others, then this is good reminder to be caring to myself.
