I know who the president is but they don't know me. The president might know a famous youtuber and the youtuber will know who they are. Which makes me ask the question, do they know each other or not? They know each other, but do they really know each other?

I don't understand why optimisation always has to be preferred in life? What if we lighten the load, lessen the burden, and kill two birds with two stones? Stones themselves are extremely common and why must we kill the bird when we can spare the beautiful birds life?
