And another one falls. Finally, after dipping this species a number of times over the years, Black-faced Bunting makes it on to my British and WP lists.

Our last day on the Azores was spent on the island of São Miguel, where we managed to see several good birds, featuring amongst others this fabulous Belted Kingfisher.

Our first full day on Flores and we managed to locate this very elusive Dickcissel, which had been around for a while. However, it wasn't until today that we managed a photo.

Our last full day on Corvo and the island just keeps on giving. Black and White Warbler, 6 American Golden Plover, and this superb Great Blue Heron. Tomorrow we fly to Flores.

Day 3 on Corvo, and what a day. Prothonotary Warbler, American Redstart, Northern Harrier and this very showy Bobolink. With @IanCowgill

Our first day on Corvo couldn't have gotten off to a much better start when news broke of the WPs 12 record of Cape May Warbler. What a stunner.

It's been many years since I last made it to the point at Spurn, so it was great to get down this weekend with Karry & Darwin. So many memorable birds over the years.

Not the best image you’ll see of this bird, although good scope views were enjoyed. Today's Song Sparrow at Thornwick Bay marked a significant milestone for me, being my 700th WP species!"

Well, that brings my Kuwait trip to an end. I've had a great time and seen some amazing birds. It's difficult to choose a bird of the trip, but perhaps that title has to go to the Hypocolius.

Another Kuwaiti speciality and much sought-after WP bird is the Purple Sunbird, and today we were lucky enough to find 4 together.

One of the main reasons for my visit to Kuwait was to see Crab Plover, I just wasn't expecting them to show as well as this bird did.

What a way to start a trip, day 1 of birding in Kuwait, and managed to catch up with this mega. Only the 3rd Indian Pond Heron for the WP.

It feels like déjà vu, a long drive south on a frosty January morning in search of an American Warbler. Last year, the Northern Waterthrush and today, this stunning Yellow Warbler 💛

Todays Purple Heron @RSPBLangford was a long-awaited addition to my notts list, although it was difficult viewing and almost impossible to photograph. @NottsBirders

Thirteen Whimbrel and a single Blkwit east though Slaynes this evening, but no Arctic or Black Terns. Has to happen tomorrow, surely 🤞

An evening visit to Gringley yesterday was rewarded with an impressive count of 93 Corn Buntings, 77 of which can be seen in this image.
