These kinds of mass shootings rarely happen elsewhere in the world. Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen? Where in God’s name is our backbone to have the courage to deal with it? It’s time to turn this pain into action.

Today's final perf of #IntoTheWoodsNYCC was utterly transcendent. When Cinderella lost her slipper, it flew off the stage into my lap. Quietly tossed it back, and both @DeneeBenton and @SaraBareilles did charming "thank you" business. A bucket list item I never knew existed.
