There are certain words that when used cause the listener to immediately stop paying attention and to mentally check whether the word was used correctly. Ironic.
Avoiding jargon not only makes your writing more readable, it makes it more complete. Translating the jargon into everyday language forces you to ask yourself what you really mean by each term.
Our dream AI application: it takes any text and tailors it for you. Makes a Wikipedia page explain difficult concepts in terms you understand; changes a book to seamlessly filter out the stuff you don’t care about.
I don’t like “if you will” or “proverbial.” Don’t apologize for using metaphors, you coward.
Grammar wise, we like the idea of treating emojis as punctuation 😀 They seem to serve the same purpose and enrich the range of expression.

Funny how words and phrases have connotations. If you say someone has "an agenda," that's bad. But if you say the person "has goals," that's good. They mean the same thing.
