Great take on new tool and tech productivity boosts from @karpathy (Ex-OpenAI and Tesla)

I've never felt this much behind as a programmer. The profession is being dramatically refactored as the bits contributed by the programmer are increasingly sparse and between. I have a sense that I could be 10X more powerful if I just properly string together what has become…

If you are interested in knowing in which industries AI is most successful in understanding (& which models), you should pay close attention to the APEX. More below.

AI has its PhD and now it’s on the job market. Introducing the AI Productivity Index (APEX), a benchmark that measures how well we’ve automated the most valuable industries in the world. Most benchmarks study abstract capabilities. APEX evaluates model performance on real…

Well put & 100 Percent agree having an interest in “knowing the layer below”, what will and won’t work , of any system you work in, that’s a great way to set you up to 10x whatever you are building, optimizing, designing…

In computer science, you need to know the system that you’re building on top to have any real leverage. You need to know what will and won’t work, and why. This also generalizes to most fields, which is precisely why AI will take far fewer jobs than people think.

Great thread to nerd out on the impact of speaker technology

I saw a famous YouTuber crying his eyes out in a thumbnail I clicked He's notorious for calling out fake sales claims Here, he tests $4K headphones said to play music so intensely they make you involuntarily cry. He roasts 'em. Then 11min later, he cries. Why do they work? 🧵

This is an awesome example of ChatGPT saving a business $$. The letter the AI wrote..it read as something close to what I’d send!

Imagine a multi-billion dollar client who refused to pay you for good work rendered. Most people would turn to lawyers I turned to ChatGPT Here's the story of how I recovered $109,500 without spending a dime on legal fees:
