There's a lot of research which goes in to choosing the perfect colour scheme. You need to consider how colours make people feel, what their meanings are (think religion and beliefs), how relevant they are to your industry, what the longevity of the colour scheme will be.
"I paint flowers so they will not die." – Frida Kahlo I find flowers the most forgiving object to draw because you can twist and adapt the lines and get it wrong but it still looks good!
