Random things I've said this year that can help someone who acknowledges where they are rn. 1. You may need to go dark, no socials, no highlight reels, to emerge a different person later 2. Over-reliance on socials/screen time is probably killing your success 3. Easy…

Everything is outside the range of my IQ

I added a chat bot to my portfolio. Had an interview today about implementing and so last night I wanted to see what that looks like so I added one myself.

To have nothing and want everything.

I’m need to attend meet up’s! Anyone in Toronto know any coming up? I need to get out there more! @virtualized6ix @AtRiskMedia And I’m still working on getting a job to get my flight to CYC. You might see my youngest if I can’t get a sitter. What’s a 25 hour drive 1 way 😅

Ok I learnt something this morning (aside from trying to be more social to my digital family) I believe I have skills and so do others. I have another assessment🥳 Even though QAWOLF is a 6 month wait to try again I’m in full send mode to lock in a dev role! This is exhausting

Submitted an assessment to qawolf and THEY LIKE IT but I was still rejected because I didn’t do enough. But I’ve been trying to make it on the team for about a year and this time they gave me suggestions and invite me to try again! Just 6 months later 😑 HELP ME 😭😭

Got to onsite technical for a start up in production code base. Arrived, was given the most challenging task from everyone else. Didn’t make it. Was sad but then learned I may have dodged a bullet. But xp is xp. Also is over 2 millions lines of code bad for a team of 4?

Ok so if I wanna be a principal engineer I first gotta get employed. Step 1 - get employed 😑 Since it isn’t that easy I need to build something. Bring value in public. No idea what I’m doing anymore outside of tryna figure out how to keep breathing.

How does one navigate the Toronto Tech scene for a job in tech? Maybe I should be a cop....these last few years been killing me.

Learned I can't do it all. Had to walk away from an amazing project due to needing to find a job. If your hiring in Toronto for junior roles, I'm here but also hours of leetcode is both fun and gives me a headache everyday this week around 4pm.

Nothing like waking up and starting an infinite loop.

You can’t make this up

I made lemonade. Glorious!

Submitted a coding assessment for @QAWolfHQ an recorded a loom video with it, as instructed. I'm going to do something I've never done at this point. NOT THINK ABOUT IF I GET THE NEXT INTERVIEW let alone the role. I'm happy I showed up. But I still don't like hearing myself 🤣

When a recruiter sounds like you were the last resort, like they don't even know what the client is asking for and is just word vomiting the "role" like this is a game, then no one wins. I'm not wasting my breathe on this call.

I just threw away my whole project because I screwed it up so bad I couldn’t untangle it. I’m going to firebase. Lemme just find some clarity real quick.

Ok Supabase is to much for me at this moment. To many issues with getting the Google Auth working properly. I'm going to Firebase and see how that fairs.

Today is fixing auth because I broke it. I checked Supabase auth and it was working 15 minutes ago but now we get a redirect to localHost. Not correct.

Today we end with an auth page for the app. Really like flutter so far. Get the MVP then i'll go a little crazy with the UI.
