I'll be real if Grow a Garden was made back in 2019 / 2018 it wouldn't have even passed 10K+ CCU. The right factors within the community had to all play apart into this game becoming THIS successful. That's also not even mentioning how Roblox wasn't as big as it was today.
Nah not at all man don’t think like that. Time’s a major factor and seeing as that was also pre-COVID, wouldn’t have gotten like millions of players-probs maybe 10-20k like the average game would at that time. Or maybe it would’ve who knows
imagining Grow a Garden existing 6 years is insane to think about. Although, I feel like it probably wouldn't have done so well just because of what Roblox was like, but honestly who knows. 100% wouldn't have had as much success as Grow a Garden does now tho bc lower playerbase
How much you wanna bet the devs read this exact post and stole the idea? One of the devs has an alleged HISTORY of copying/cloning games. Make what u want from this, but the real fault is on the guy himself. You snooze you lose, shoulda made the game in 2019.
i think it would’ve been a wrong time for the game, in 2019 i don’t think the game would’ve had the same impact on the site as GAG has had. still insane how similar the ideas were.

Maki wasn’t the only person to try to make this. There were tons of games before grow a garden that tryed this and it worked out. But the game didn’t pop off
This is like the hornets trading Kobe Bryant away a while back… how would the Hornets know this guy would be top 10 all time?
To answer him years later, You can compare the planting time to the login time and simulate ticks. Works especially well if the plant has multiple growth stages.
So what? If it proves that this idea was here for over 5 years then why would it matter. Atleast he actually made it unlike you
