Day 266 cont’d: I have finally been born as a happy, healthy baby!
Day 266 cont’d: the placenta exits the uterus after me, and then they’ll cut the umbilical cord.
Day 266 cont’d: It’s happening! My mother is in labor and her cervix is dilating. Soon the expulsion stage will begin once her cervix fully dilates. During the expulsion stage, I will be finally coming out of the uterus and the open world. Afterwords is the placental stage, where
Day 266 cont’d: cervix to about 10cm, this is the 1st stage of labor: the dilation stage.
Day 266: I will be born soon, eventually my mother’s water will break. The water breaks when the amniotic sac ruptures and amniotic fluids leaks out of my mother’s vagina. She will then start producing estrogen which will stimulate the uterus. Oxytocin will begin dilation of her
Day 230: Hey everyone! I am still doing well and there seems to be nothing wrong with me. Only a few more months until I am born!
Day 67: I probably won’t be posting for a while- I will slowly develop over the next few months and eventually will be born in early to mid October.
Day 65 cont’d: My mom has entered the 2nd trimester, and so she is back at the OBGYN to get one of the last tests done: the triple screen. They are checking for 3 substances: AFP, hCG, and Estriol. This test is to predict any abnormalities possible with the results combined w age
Day 65 cont’d: My mom is back at the OBGYN, this time she is getting a test for chorionic villus sampling, where they will remove chronic villi in the amniotic sac to check for any possible abnormalities.
Day 65: My mother is getting an ultrasound done today. She and my dad will be able to see a picture of me inside the womb to see if I’m ok. They also plan on running a test called an amniocentesis, where the check amniotic fluid to see if there are any unknown problems with me.
Day 60: Your boy is officially a fetus!! Only about 7 months to go!
Day 20 cont’d: The doctors also said don’t do X-rays as the radiation can affect the baby and can lead to mutations. Drugs shouldn’t be done as well as it increases the risk of pregnancy complications and birth defects. These factors can lead to congenital disorders for me later.
Day 20: Went to go visit the doctors today and they told her not to drink alcohol as it can pass through the placenta into the developing baby. They also told her not to smoke and it causes health problems for premature, underweight babies and puts them at a greater risk of dying
Day 15 cont’d: Then whenever I get hungry, the placenta gives me nutrients through the umbilical chord. It feels like I’m right at home here!
Day 15: Yo yo so I’m stuck in the uterus, chilling in the amniotic sac. This sac is formed by a structure called the chorion. It’s kinda comfortable down here with the whole amniotic fluid acting as a cushion for me.
Day 10 cont’d: The endoderm gives rise to skeletal muscles. Then lastly, my last layer, the endoderm gives rise to respiratory and digestive mucosa!
Day 10: Yoo I have formed into a three layer structure known as a gastrula. I am composed of the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. Each layer has specific functions as they play different roles. The ectoderm gives rise to my brain and spinal cord.
Day 5: I have now turned into a blastula (blastocyst). I am on my way towards implantation at the uterus!
Day 4: Yo I am now a solid ball of cells resulting from a division of a fertilized ovum known as a morula!
Day 1: Yo yo yo I’m currently going through fertilization right now in the uterine tube of the mother! As of right now, I am a fusion of two haploid cells that turned into one diploid cell which ended me up as a zygote!
