The solution to the child care workforce shortage is pay. Apprenticeships & other efforts to strengthen the pipeline are needed, but it’s unethical to ask prospective teachers to earn credentials and invest effort preparing for a median wage of $13.22/hour. Pay must come first.

I’m saddened that so many of us don’t believe in mercy for a young adult who clearly has a mental health disorder & cognitive development impairment. Mercy isn’t easy, but it is far more healing than taking another life. We must end the death penalty. #HEYJB
