Does some people’s brain chemistry cause them to want high-sugar/high-fat foods, or do those foods alter people’s brain chemistry to make them want it? This study, with 49 normal-weight participants (23 in HS/HF group), suggests the latter. cell.com/cell-metabolis…

To have a comeback you have to have been a huge success and v popular in the past. Then you go away. Then you ‘come back.’ If you cause havoc, disappear to everyone’s relief, then reappear, you haven’t come back. You’re basically a cold sore. Can someone tell Truss this
In most normal worlds, if you’ve made an absolute holy show of yourself, you go quietly off and hope no one ever mentions you again. But it seems if you’re an ex Tory PM, you resurface almost immediately and strut about as if people want to hear from you again. We really don’t.
Can we function without Nurses? No. Can anyone get a job as a nurse? No. Do we have enough nurses? No. Should we pay nurses fairly, retain staff and improving staffing levels. Yes. Retweet if you agree! #FairPayforNursing #NursesStrike #RCNStrike
When Government Ministers claim today that we can't afford to give nurses a proper pay rise remember this: The pay rise nurses are calling for would cost £1.8 billion per year. Scrapping the non-dom tax avoidance scheme used by the super-rich would raise £3.2 billion per year.
"The Wealth Tax Commission costed a one-off wealth tax. Levied at 1% above an individual’s net wealth of £10m, it would raise about £43bn from 22,000 wealthy people" The Guardian view on wealth taxes: UK needs one on millionaires and billionaires theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
In case anyone is wondering why Nadhim Zahawi isn't being prosecuted for tax fraud, it's simply that there is one rule for us and another for everyone else. Hope that clarifies the situation.
Britain's billionaires have been increasing their wealth by £220 million per DAY. There's huge wealth in our society. It's just in the wrong hands. Let's fight for a Wealth Tax on the super-rich!
My car broke down last year - the clutch gave out. I tried passing a law making it illegal for my car to stop working, tried suing it, tried arresting it and tried sacking it. Turned out that I needed to spend money maintaining and fixing it. Who knew...
We’ve looked at NHS funding since 2000 and compared UK healthcare spending with the richest EU members. And then looked at how funding connects to the current NHS crisis. 5 mins on what we found.

Halve inflation. Grow the economy. Reduce debt. Cut waiting lists. Stop the boats. Your priorities are my priorities. I will work night and day to deliver them and build a better future.
Nurses work 12hr shifts; sell their days off; use food banks; pay £1300 a year to park. And 40,000 have left their jobs in a year. Tory MPs sit for 150 days; get subsidised food; claim travel & energy on expenses; get free parking & £2,200 pay rises. Back the nurses please.
