浮世絵をモチーフとした作品を多く作るDimitri Piot 氏の講演会に行ってきました！ やわらかな線と淡い鮮やかな色が特長で、現代の日本社会が浮き上がってくる。驚くのが、Dimitriさんは一度も日本に行ったことないんですよ…（本日現在）。だからこそピュアな日本が描かれているのかも。
Masterpiece
この度、遂に『VERSION』が刊行となり、坂口尚の長編三部作『石の花』『あっかんべェ一休』『VERSION』が揃って復刊を果たしました。そして、これらの出版と並行して原画データのデジタルアーカイブ化も進めているのです。今回の一連の事業により、三部作・約3400頁分のデータ化が完了しました。

Dimitri Piotという浮世絵スタイルの作風のベルギー人画家の話を聞いてきました。 日本の炭鉱を描いた山本作兵衛にインスピレーションを受け、炭鉱に関する絵も描いています。今年の2月に新平溪炭鉱博物館を訪れいくつか作品を作ったとのこと。
