This is in line with the idea that disabled people needing what they need to get through the day is just “special treatment.” Chadwick Boseman needed these accommodations and health services to do the work. He didn’t “overcome” anything, he lived with it right in front of them.
This is ableism. Specifically, inspiration porn. Chadwick's work and passion are iconic, but that does not make it acceptable to use his life and death as an excuse to degrade others or dismiss their struggles, or shame them for not doing as much. It isn't a competition.
These tools help disabled people who cannot use knives. Adaptive tech is almost always advertised by able bodied people so it's hard to associate it with the people who are largely using it, but imagine seeing a ramp and saying "lol just use the stairs."
Non-normative?? The word you're looking for is disabled. It isn't a bad word.

I am begging black people: please do not skip over the fact that he had a disability and was wearing a mask last year while walking in the street. That’s why the cops were called on him. Black disabled people are at risk.
In Memory of Elijah. • #ElijahMcClain was a kind young man was who murdered last year by the police for “looking suspicion” while walking home after buying some tea. They found nothing on him and his murders are walking free today.
