DOCOMOMO SA, short for Document Conserve Modern Movement South Africa, focuses attention on sites and buildings of modernity.
We note with sadness the passing of 'Pancho' Guedes (1925-2015). His architecture lives on in MOZ, SA and PORT. RIP

The most important work we do is documenting SA modern architecture in the form of a template called a fische.
We also have talks and workshops about the SA contribution towards global modernity and the spatial discipline of arch, urban design etc.
We discuss modern buildings under threat and compile comments for heritage authorities.
