Not everyone appreciates the Dodder ‘greenway’ treatment and vegetation clearing. Bike lanes should NOT take away from our riverine corridors and wildlife. Bike lanes should take from roads, not nature. Lots of wildlife driven out of the Dodder. #Greenwashing 😭
On Friday, local reps, residents, and officials celebrated the completion of a vital piece of the Dodder Greenway. It was great to see the local enthusiasm for the finished project, led by @sdublincoco, funded by @TIINews, and enjoyed now by people of all ages.

Very little respect or value is attributed to our natural environment by LAs, ripping out mature vegetation at this stage without an extremely good reason is gross negligence

Herculean efforts this morning from volunteers to collect and remove 200 bags of rubbish from a "swamp" blighting one of the tributaries of the River Dodder in Tallaght. The Dodder Action Group says this is the largest single clean up it has ever done.
At the very time when we need more trees, @DubCityCouncil is busy cutting down healthy trees. Three trees a few weeks ago and another today. Can any of our public reps please give me an explanation? I can hear the chainsaws as I write this. @CByrneGreen @EamonRyan @hazechu
