I see that SuperintelligenceVentures.com sold for $3000 yesterday. Left money on the table here. D+ sale price if you ask me.
I smile every time I transfer domains away from GoDaddy. One by one, as they approach expiration I send them to a different registrar. Only a few left. Will be a good day when I no longer have any with them.
Every November/December I review my portfolio for domains that haven’t earned their keep. D/F grades. 60-90 days from expiration. If a name isn’t pulling its weight, I “unsubscribe” from it. No renewals. No nostalgia. No sunk-cost charity. Have to keep the portfolio lean.
Just got invited to a wealthy man’s holiday party where guests are expected to pay an entry fee, tip the entertainment, bring food, AND supply our own alcohol. Outsource the full cost of the party to attendees and still call it hosting? Talk about socially off-key… 🙄
Running outbound for Geo+ Service domains this morning. Over 30% of the businesses I found are now gone. No surprise… many were built on truly awful domains.
I’d pay good money to watch a week in the life of Mike Mann selling domains.
Superintelligence is technically one word but it feels like two.
A new trend I’d like to see from domain sales posts: Tell us what the initial offer was, and each leg of the negotiation. So if you started with a $1500 minimum, post how much you countered with, how much they countered with, and so on, until you settled on the final price.
3 different prices for the same order at the same restaurant using 3 different delivery apps: $91, $83, $62. What a racket.
Today I learned that private jet inspections cost $125,000. Naturally, I hand-registered PrivateJetInspections.com
Someone bought Watch.now for $79,988 and people on both side of this issue will begin arguing, and I’m here for it 🍿
Do domainers have Instagram pages where they showcase their domains in posts?
Got excited when I saw a certain geo + Pilates .com was available. Wondered why. Then searched other cities + Pilates domains and realized they’re not commonly used. More commonly paired with holistic words I suppose.
I used to think ChatGPT was good at reviewing legal contracts. Twice in the last 8 weeks I’ve had it analyze 30+ page contracts, and both times it completely fabricated clauses that weren’t even in the contract. Lesson learned.
Every domain name in your portfolio is a subscription you selected. Don’t forget to unsubscribe from the bad ones you selected. It’s part of the business!
