Even the staunchest advocates of ibogaine would say it's a terrible idea to buy it from a stranger and then take it unsupervised, without heart monitoring.

I can’t believe Aaron Parsley @FreshParsley of @TexasMonthly had the strength to write this story about what his family endured in the #GuadalupeRiver flood. It will leave you frozen. texasmonthly.com/news-politics/…

As bad as Signalgate was for Mike Waltz--and it was very bad--he was already on the hot seat weeks before that snafu nytimes.com/2025/03/16/us/…

In my story today, @JeffreyGoldberg said that he & Waltz had met twice but that he'd never interviewed him: nytimes.com/2025/03/25/us/…

National security advisor Mike Waltz says he’s “never met, don’t know, never communicated with” The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg (who was added into that Signal chat) and that the administration is “looking into and reviewing how the heck he got into this group.”

Feels like a good time to offer a free link to my recent story about national security adviser Mike Waltz, who inadvertently invited @JeffreyGoldberg of @TheAtlantic into a classified war briefing: nytimes.com/2025/03/16/us/…

Back in the late 90s in Austin, I shared an office with Cecile. No matter where you stood on issues (and back then, her thing was public schools), she was an unpretentious force of nature. #RIP nytimes.com/2025/01/20/us/…

"The record overwhelmingly suggests that Representative Gaetz had sex with multiple women at the party, including the then-17-year-old, for which they were paid," says the 37-page report, which the dissenting committee members do not dispute.

House Ethics Committee accuses Gaetz of regularly paying for sex, possessing illegal drugs and having sexual relations with an underage girl, according to a draft of the panel’s report. @lukebroadwater @maggieNYT @DraperRobert nytimes.com/2024/12/23/us/…

Actually, this *is* in the ethics report. Two women (one 25, the other 27) said they didn't consider the transactions to be prostitution. A third woman took the 5th on this question.

ANOTHER ONE of the ethics witnesses who was an alleged “prostitute” claims she was indeed NOT when actually pressed in a deposition. This won’t be in the “ethics” report because of course.

mattgaetz's tweet image. ANOTHER ONE of the ethics witnesses who was an alleged “prostitute” claims she was indeed NOT when actually pressed in a deposition.

This won’t be in the “ethics” report because of course.

Notable findings: 1) Gaetz was was likely guilty of the state crime of statutory rape; 2) Insufficient evidence to prove sex trafficking; 3) He obstructed justice through numerous delay tactics; 4) Committee minority didn't object to facts, only to releasing report

PS--I was the reporter who happened to be on the same plane this morning with Gaetz & his wife; brief scene included nytimes.com/2024/11/21/us/…

Latest Gaetz story of the day: the watchdog group American Oversight has just now filed a preliminary injunction to get the DOJ to release its investigative material on Gaetz by Dec 16: nytimes.com/2024/11/19/us/…
