"Arrested for" is very funny here, given the kid was released without charges on account of having not committed the crime in question.
This individual was arrested for assaulting federal law enforcement officers under 18 U.S.C 111, assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal officers.
Incredible stuff

Here are videos sent to me of the incident Frey details
Frey: "Over on 3rd Ave, an individual from a car that was in the middle of a pretty significant street was detained. ICE left the car in the middle of the street. The car wasn't even in park, so you got this vehicle just rolling down the street with nobody in it. It could've hit…

Jerome Powell walking to the office this morning
Just spoke with a guy who owns a small business. Complaining about the fact that that he pays his employees $18-20hr (minimum) but the people who hire illegal aliens pay them $6.50 an hour and hurt his business. Many of the people threatening law enforcement and interfering…
NEW: “Pulte… recently pitched Trump on targeting Powell, going so far as to bring ‘wanted’ posters of the Fed chief along with him.” The Pulte poster tactic is back! And it apparently helped him drive the latest action against Jerome Powell. Read the BTS…

Every former living Fed Chair (Bernanke, Greenspan, Yellen) Bipartisan former Treasury Secretaries (Geithner, Paulson, others) Bipartisan former CEA Chairs (Hubbard, Mankiw, Romer--and me) This is not a difficult or controversial issue. The attack on Powell is dangerous.
Former Fed chairs and Treasury secretaries put out a statement on Monday defending Powell after the Justice Department opened up a criminal investigation of the chair, likening the move to what happens in emerging markets jointstatement.substack.com/p/statement-on…
I hadn't previously seen this memo from LA ICE that explicitly labels observing and recording ICE as "threats" to law enforcement.
notably, the Treasury Secretary himself assumed the right way to respond to the Department of Justice's pursuit of charges against the Fed Reserve chair was to call the president, not the attorney general: axios.com/2026/01/12/bes…
I've talked about this before, but the limited market reaction to the Fed threat seems like another example where US institutional decay is being pitted against US dynamism, and US dynamism is coming out on top.

Wrong. The tariffs raised $134B for the Treasury through Dec 14. If they're illegal, that is what would be refunded. Promised foreign investments would go to the private sector, not the Treasury—and most are still just promises. There's nothing for the government to pay back.
That bad faith actors will always try to hijack legitimate protest movements. A tale as old as time. Neo-Nazis have literally been trying to do this with the Palestinian liberation movement. Does that undermine the credibility of the movement and the legitimacy of its demands?
