This is a good word. God used many flawed people in the OT (just like he does today!), yet these same flawed people also had many moments worth highlighting. It's part of why their stories are in the Bible!

Just saying: when you spot the error of using OT stories exclusively as moral examples for our lives, the remedy is not to disregard the moral relevance of these characters for our lives. Overcorrection is a real danger.

The New Testament is not arranged in the order the books were written. Instead, it is organized by type of writing, then by author, and within those groups mostly by length. When an author has more than one letter, the whole group is placed based on the length of the first letter…

Never forget that Jesus didn’t come to die just for you. He came to reconcile a people to God, of which you and I get to be a part. The Gospel was passed along to you to make its way to someone else. Don’t let the good news of Jesus stop with you.

Christians should not take advice about what it looks like to follow Jesus or be a Christian from people who do not follow Jesus. If someone does not know Jesus, love Jesus, or walk with Jesus, they don’t actually know what it takes or what it means to follow Him. This does not…

Even more sad, we won’t end this failed sports-gambling experiment. Because to do so would require us to say that gambling is bad. And our culture is unwilling to say that. We’ve made peace with our vices.

This is so immensely sad.

Great. Now let's do this for all sports at all levels. And to clarify, they are banning *men* from competing in *women's* sports.

What Dave Canales meant to say: "Bryce Young."

Dave Canales: "Missed opportunities."

Bryce Young is just not good enough to be an NFL starter. 😔

Young picked. Didn't see Alontae Taylor.

A 50 year mortgage is very bad. Zoning and regulations need to be fixed. Make building housing easier and more affordable and we could fix the problem starting this week.

I don’t think a 50 year mortgage is bad. It gives everyone more flexibility financially You can pay a mortgage off early Not sure how else to lower home costs in 2025

But let’s make sure all the sports leagues, teams, and channels keep pushing sports betting… 🙄

BREAKING: Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz have been indicted by prosecutors in Brooklyn on a host of charges related to a scheme to rig bets on pitches thrown in MLB games. Ortiz was arrested in Boston earlier today. Clase is not currently in custody.

Tomorrow is a great day to go to church.

Mormons are not Christians.

It’s absurd to say that Mormons aren’t Christians. That idea comes from fringe voices and old conspiracy theories. Latter-day Saints worship Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world. Here’s why that claim has never made sense:

I have no desire to debate things like this, but quite literally I see this very often: 1. I was Catholic 2. I read the Bible 3. I became Protestant Not discrediting history at all! But I’ll take “I read the Bible” over “I read history” any day.

Last night I met a group of converts. All of their stories had the same basic shape: 1. I was Protestant 2. I learned about history 3. I became Catholic Now I wonder about the stories in the other direction: 1. I was Catholic 2. ??? 3. I became Protestant

This 👇 1000% this.

As I grow older, I am more and more mindful of how many theological fights are started on Twitter by people who’ve never pastored a congregation.

Adam Ramsey on Biblical theology: “Prosperity theology: Jesus, I'll follow you if you improve my life. Biblical theology: Jesus, I follow you because You're better than life.”

In Scripture, the number forty often symbolizes a period of testing, preparation, or judgment that leads to renewal. Here are some key places (but know there are many more!) this pattern shows up: - Genesis 7:12 — Rain fell for forty days and nights during the flood. - Exodus…

If there are places where Christians might be accused of being “political” for simply walking with God and His commands, so be it. In modern America, politics has increasingly moved into theological areas. When that happens, it presents a problem that Christians did not create.…
