Dear DRS and nurses: Please use appropriately so I don't have to explain to my nurses/hcas/domestics/house keepers why we've run out in areas where we're using aersolising treatments. Also look up strong 1990 and work out that you're acting to type in a pandemic. #surgicalmasks
To aerosolise respiratory particles - a current of air has to move over respiratory mucosa. To create droplet nuclei (which FFP3 masks designed for) the air needs to travel at high velocity. Use science to inform IPC! @IPS_Infection @patcp66 @SMHopkins #PPE

We are getting a few patients arriving at our reception asking for Coronavirus swabs. There is no longer testing for contacts or mildly symptomatic patients occuring in the UK. Please self isolate or call 111 if you are concerned. We are still here for those most seriously Ill.
