Dianella Primary College's lab was buzzing with activity during our incursions. Students made fake fossils, investigated lava viscosity, tested rocks for a mineral, examined soils & flooded model landscapes-phew! Lots of fun learning. Thanks to #WACoreOperations supporters
How many fossils can you make in a day? Lots with the help of awesome Yr 3-5 students at Deanmore PS where we've spent a great couple of days! We also investigated lava viscosity with Yr 5 & 6's! Thanks to #WACoreOperations supporters ausearthed.com.au/wa/supporters/ #earthsciencerocks
AusEarthEd is in Palmerston, Darwin's satellite city, this morning. Making ammonite fossils with Year 3 students at Gray Primary School. #PALMS thanks to @SantosLtd
Last week we explored rocks and the many reasons that they are so important to us with enthusiastic students and teachers from Fremantle College. #STEMOutreach thanks to @Chevron Australia.
We headed into the centre of Perth today to visit the students at St George's Anglican Grammar School. The Year 8 students tested their geology skills, using hand lenses to assist with rock classification. #WASP thanks to @WoodsideEnergy.
Recently students at Darling Range Sports College tried their hand at coding robots to clear the way for first responders to rescue survivors of major earthquakes. #STEMOutreach thanks to @Chevron Australia
Flashback Friday! Last Friday we had great pleasure spending our last day in Kalgoorlie at North Kalgoorlie PS. Students investigated the viscosity of different materials, chemical composition of some WA rocks, & made ammonite fossils. #KalgoorlieEngagement thanks to @MinResWA
Recently we had the pleasure of working with the enthusiastic staff and students at Hammond Park SC. We explored the rocks and resources of WA and how STEM professionals understand past and present processes. All of this was through #STEMOutreach thanks to @Chevron Australia.
We had a great start to the week with an incursion at Blue Gum Montessori School. The Year 1 students enjoyed exploring our changing beads that respond to sunlight, while the Year 2 and 3 students constructed their own stories of how rocks form. Thanks to our wonderful supporters

Schools are always very excited to receive the Earth Science kits donated by @MinResWA that we have been delivering this week. Here's the smiles captured when we delivered the kit to Goldfields Baptist College! #KalgoorlieEngagement thanks to MRIWA
We're in Karratha this week also & had a wonderful visit to St Paul's PS! PP & Yr 1 classes used changing beads to learn about different kinds of light in sunlight. Yr 2 used scientific facts to write some creative stories about how their rocks formed. #PALMS thanks to @SantosLtd
What a great start to our Kalgoorlie visit with a day of incursions at St Mary's Primary School followed by Primary Teacher PD hosted by Kalgoorlie Primary School yesterday. #KalgoorlieEngagement thanks to @MinResWA
