Just in case #drupal hasn’t clued in on this yet: You can’t put figma into your customer’s preferred dev pipeline. Figma wants to own the cms layer too. They’re officially competing with you. Drupal needs to be innovating the entire website delivery pipeline. Including design.

If a FOSS community cannot criticize its leadership, it’s lost the plot. I’ve criticized #Drupal leadership and their decisions so many times. Sometimes people listened; more often they didn’t, but I was never bullied about my modules or kicked out of community spaces. #Wordpress

So ncixvan just submitted a test issue "Convert everything everywhere all at once". It's 558 files +28822 −26066 lines.
drupal.org/u/nicxvan is working on converting core to OOP hooks and feeding me requirements for the rector rule. By now manual work is only needed to fix indentation and comments and nothing else. Even __FUNCTION__ got resolved.
This is such huge news. A lot of us have wanted the ability to have OOP in our regular Drupal hooks for a long time and this makes that possible and gives us so many benefits and DX improvements. Thanks to everyone involved.

Building and selling a theme like you would in #WordPress has historically been difficult in #Drupal but with the ability anticipate what sites are using via recipes, I think we’re on the precipice of a huge shift.
Surely, we have some legal enthusiasts in this community. I'm curious about the possibility/validity of a community-sponsored class-action lawsuit against Automattic.
