Can this be inside the editor. Right sid, that would be more convenient. like vs code has.
We thought about it, and it was requiring much more work, plus some people disliked it. So at the moment, we opted for a view that users are free to place wherever they want. But improvement suggestions are welcome to bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug… , so are all contributions ;)

Cool, but in my opinion, you should not need a map for single file. If it is so big, then this is a hint for a refactor.
