Hold on to those eclipse glasses! As long as the lenses are still in good shape, you can use them for safe solar viewing every day. Sometimes you can even see sunspots (darker, cooler spots on the Sun) with just your eclipse glasses, no magnification required!
This sort of spikey view is how the #EclipseOverCleveland might have appeared had we not had so much cirrus cloud. Not that I'm complaining!

This doesn't seem very safe. You not only might get wet or bombarded with hail, but what if a lightning bolt arcs through your body halfway to the ground?
