Yeah, totally socio economic terms used by Europeans. 🧐
What’s crazier is that “Hutu” or “Tutsi” are not actual ethnic groups as one would imagine Yoruba or Igbo, they're just socio-economic terms used by Europeans to describe the same group of people based on their proximity to the Rwandan royal family.
I have a feeling people think it's the government that pays for these things. because I don't understand why they keep harping on scarce forex. if the forex is scarce enough, water will find its level and the item will be priced accordingly. what is the headloss about?
What does “scarce Fx” even mean? Why are you worried about what random people do with the dollars they pay Naira for? Whats the Nigerian governments business with what we spend dollars on?
I see at as a good policy though may be painful in the short run. We can't keep importing petrol and diesel using scarce FX when we have local capacity to cover it. In 9 months of 2025, over 1.2B USD was used to fund petrol imports. This is beyond Dangote or monopoly.
You said "conjecture" and the handle went ahead to prove you right.... The handler said custom declared N1.3tr in Q1...but couldn't understand that to mean NCS would take 7% of that by law... FG will take 52.68% (that's around N637Billion for the 3 month,.meaning ~N200billion…
This is predictable, and if you’d asked me this question before seeing this post, I would have given you this answer, despite it being counterintuitive. And here’s why. We must remember that at every point where women were excluded from higher education, a lot of womenfolk also…
So because they're spending frivolously in one sector they should spend frivolously in all sectors.
I hate your kind of mentality so much. Okay according to you where are they going to get the money from? If they do, does it make sense to spend that large a chunk of the national budget on salaries in one sector? What solution do you propose and where are the numbers to back…
Anytime I call Elewa a “faux intellectual”, people think it’s hate. But anyone feigning intellectualism should know CIT has always been 30%, and Fiscal Reform even proposed cutting it to 20% but NASS said no. But Elewa will always Elewa on the TL.
