As well as looking at narratives of belonging in art/architecture my thesis will also examine the lived experience of the city - addressing the contradiction between the planners vision and how it was viewed by Coventry’s diverse postwar populations. 3/3 #CovUniThesis @CU_ReCap
My PhD will determine how ideas of belonging are communicated via designs for the postwar reconstruction of Coventry, examining the role of works such as Trevor Tennant’s ‘Levelling Stone’ in the rebuilding of the city centre following the Blitz. 2/3 #CovUniThesis @CU_ReCap
