More from Junior Code club. Last night we made a variety of different ‘tools’ using the Microbits ranging from a set of virtual dice, a Rock, Paper, Scissors game, and a working compass! @EmbleyHampshire @EmbleyDeputy @EmbleyHead

Junior Code Club - (Tuesday). Out came the Microbits (finally!). Had some fun setting them up and using the iPads to program them. Here is a lovely example by one of the students #itwasme #desperateforattention @EmbleyHead @EmbleyDeputy @EmbleyHampshire

Senior Code Club - back in the lab (Monday). Great to see our Year 10s, 11s and 12s trying out a variety of coding challenges. The most exciting being ‘Telium’ by CraignDave. @EmbleyHampshire @EmbleyDeputy @EmbleyHead

Year 12 Programming relief! Databases were getting a bit heavy. Today’s challenge: write a simple joke telling program in a language of your choice. Here are the efforts from the C# and Python categories. @EmbleyHampshire @EmbleySixthForm @EmbleyHead

In my experience, the first thing to teach them is TO CHECK CAREFULLY WHETHER YOU ARE REPLYING TO ALL, closely followed by MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NOT ACCIDENTALLY EMAILED THE ENTIRE ORGANISATION BY MISTAKE!!

Both Year 10 and Year 8 have been discussing the issue of Phishing in their respective lessons. Share this far and wide.
