my occasional rant pleading everyone NOT to hold OCP refills hostage so ppl come in and gets a cancer screening or wellness visit 🙃🙃🙃 OCPs should be OTC & we know this. please consider the ethics of withholding a generous refill (1 year) on medication that should be OTC

One of those incidental omicron deaths that the CDC doesn’t care about was my step-dad’s father. He died last week at 93. Triple vaxxed and living independently. It enrages me and breaks my heart simultaneously.
I’m so annoyed with the perception that illness is something you can fix with enough willpower. It’s very boomer-esq “pull up by your bootstraps” and implies that it’s a moral failing to be sick. No thanks, bye.
Replace half dosage of whatever prescription drugs you’ve been taking with 30 minutes of running on a treadmill every day. Guaranteed to work, might even be enough to replace the full dosage. Can’t argue till you’ve tried it!

I think “pay us more” is the only language a lot of people deeply steeped in capitalism can understand ☹️ Taking the next step into “actually, I would like to not be treated poorly and have a nice human life outside of work” is much more radical
