Literally, this. Had this exact conversation yesterday. Why do they have exceptions?! Introduce testing to weddings to allow for safe opening. If it’s good enough for TV?! @WAWofficialUK @BorisJohnson @MattHancock #whataboutweddings
The irony of ‘celebs go dating’ being allowed to film with testing, but if any of those celebs met the love of their life (unlikely) and wanted to marry them they wouldn’t be able to 🙄 @WAWofficialUK @scullyp @BorisJohnson #whataboutweddings
An extremely powerful moment- and something we considered deeply - as it will be the sort of experience many families have faced, and the reason there is so much anger. Worth a minute of your time.
Boris Johnson is set to decide tomorrow whether England will go back into a form of lockdown. Yet, Covid patients occupy 6% of NHS hospital beds right now - pretty much the same levels since early September.
New cases seem to have already reached peak and not doubling. ICU hospital cases continue going down. Deaths continue going down. This was achieved without restrictions. South Africans were right about not overreacting & panicking. Meanwhile Boris is still planning lockdown.
If you look at South African data which I have tweeted last few days, peak of cases was in consistent decline by day 10. So why would a firebreak in 8 days time in UK make any sense (I don't think a firebreak at any time makes sense, I'm just pointing out the madness)
Alexa, show me common sense… You hero @SteveBakerHW RT the hell out of this, that’s what MPs should be saying.
🚨🚨 Confirmed #Covid19 patients in general hospital beds in #Wales are 72% lower than last year. ◼️ 286 (3.1%) confirmed Covid & 204 (2.2%) recovering ◼️ 7,866 ( 84.7%) non-Covid patients ◼️ 891 (9.6%) unoccupied beds Data suggests 84% of Covid patients fully vaccinated
🚨🚨Please listen Dr Angelique Coetzee of the South African Medical Association says TODAY - @TomSwarbrick1 @LBC RT !
South Africa has just released its latest data, cases are now falling , omicron does not just exponentially rise every 2-3 days like the Government & its Health advisors are proclaiming it will. Cc @nadhimzahawi
Well well well @nadhimzahawi @sajidjavid @BorisJohnson @trussliz @KwasiKwarteng @RishiSunak The data is falling in South Africa!!!
Omicron looks like it’s given us the perfect excuse to “learn to live with the virus” Seemingly very mild symptoms and so contagious & restrictions are pointless. This ‘wave’ could be over in 3 weeks if some people’s calculations are right. If you’re scared stay in,let us live.
So it appears this variant is milder & not causing serious illness or death. We have 3 jabs which prevent serious illness & death. And restrictions are getting tougher? Please make sense of this for me????
Great to see so many people comment on the ridiculous guidance, #whataboutweddings

So unfair to see sport being given priority and a very clear and obvious advantage over other areas,
I love sport and seeing fans in stadiums is amazing but if this isn’t a kick in the teeth to couples that have delayed their weddings 3-4 times, 16 months plus then I don’t know what is! @WAWofficialUK @WelshWeddingVA
We need at least a roadmap for weddings in Wales. Boris is saying no covid restrictions from 19th July. Drakeford is saying we will have restrictions all this year. Wedding in 7 weeks... what do I plan? #whataboutweddings #welshweddings @fmwales @WelshGovernment
92 people die on average every day in Wales. Every day, since the 15th April, the Wales 7-day average deaths with Covid-19 have been 1 or 0. Meanwhile, Wales doesn't even have a roadmap out of this single-issue obsession.
Wow, just wow. It’s actually great to see, but why the disparity? It’s becoming more and more of a joke now. #whataboutweddings @BorisJohnson @fmwales
I thought a “pilot” event meant pick a few and learn. Not just use it as an excuse for every major sporting event to go ahead. What’ve we learnt from the pilots we’ve had so far?? And if more are happening surely that’s a sign weddings could be allowed dancing #whataboutweddings
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone has been added to a list of government pilot events, enabling it to have a capacity 140,000 crowd for the entire weekend of 16-18 July. The Open at Royal St George’s on 15-18 July meanwhile has been permitted 32,000. telegraph.co.uk/formula-1/2021…
Just a reminder that there is absolutely no evidence that weddings aren’t safe but the govt had chosen to harshly restrict us whilst prioritising everything but milestone life events. #whataboutweddings
