Here we go again 🙄. I'm not sure how a 37/41 indefinite hospital order can be considered "unduly lenient". I look forward to the Attorney General trying to explain this obviously politically motivated appeal to the Court.
#Breaking Nottingham triple killer Valdo Calocane’s sentence to an indefinite hospital order will be referred to the Court of Appeal for being “unduly lenient”, Attorney General Victoria Prentis said
Got some feedback from someone we helped to avoid a "specialist" hospital placement. From triple figure bed days to 0. If we can help you, your relative or a patient you're working with to avoid or come back from placement, do get in touch. 🙂
Thank you @_YJB for the opportunity talk about our work with @rickyotto67, @openlensmedia & @j5teadman supporting overrepresented boys in the community & the secure estate! Great to be up there listening and learning from colleagues from @WestMidsPCC & @haringeycouncil.
🙏 A huge thank you to panellists from @haringeycouncil, @CPSUK, @WestMidsPCC and @walsallyjs, who are joined YJ Board Member @jacobsakil for a thought-provoking discussion on overrepresentation in the system and what’s working to reduce it. #YJLeadersSummit
One of our children recently utilised their Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) to attend their driving theory test. This is something of a first for us at Wetherby, and will pave the way for other children in custody.

A devastating state of affairs - so many incredible NHS folk continuing to give whilst sacrificing themselves. This is not what anyone signs up for!
I’m a Paramedic. Today, I’ve fed, watered and toileted patients in the back of a van. I’m in the 14th hour of a 12 hour shift and 9th in the queue at a hospital it takes an hour to drive back from. A job I used to enjoy, I’ve begun to regularly hate.
Our team ID board Can you spot the issue? This morning a new member wrote everyone’s first name but mine was title & surname This instantly creates a potentially steep hierarchy with new team members who might not feel able to speak up with concerns We’ve changed it now 😀

Let's make it clear: living on the streets is not a ‘lifestyle choice’ - it is a sign of failed government policy. No one should be punished for being homeless. Criminalising people for sleeping in tents, and making it an offence for charities to help them, is unacceptable.
The British people are compassionate. We will always support those who are genuinely homeless. But we cannot allow our streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the streets as a lifestyle choice. 1/4
