I think we need to separate between “government” and “people” of Sudan. The ousted government in Sudan did atrocities to all of us on both sides. As youth, the responsibility is falling on our shoulders to pave the way for the coming generation. @BSonblast @nelsonkwaje
The #NotAllSudanis argument aside, the proposal for peace and reunification on our part is cute, but at the end of the day South Sudanese are under zero obligation to accept. Because history. And present.

Reconciliation between Sudan and South Sudan is very possible, reunification isn’t. Reconciliation will start by acknowledging and admitting to what actually happened. It will never start with “We were young we didn’t understand or don’t generalize”.
In an aim to create the bright future that we aim for, and considering that youth are majority on both sides, in addition to the shared history between us, we’re not only obliged to have a one conference, in fact an annual Youth led conference is the answer @nelsonkwaje

Fundamental difference of views here between @Ethiopia_UN & @USUN - if adopted one risk is that sanctions or arms embargo go unenforced in the region where the actual weapons flow and where the money is banked.
An effective Arms embargo on #SouthSudan without political will and commitment to do so from its neighboring countries #Kenya and #Uganda would not not come to life. @AkshayaSays
