Facebook currently allows pages to run polls, but it only allows binary polls that have only two options for how you may vote. Approval voting allows users to vote for ALL the choices they approve of. Sign the petition: enable approval voting now! electionscience.org/petition-zucke…
The #NevadaCaucus starts today! For the first time, they used a #RankedChoiceVoting ballot for early voters. They reported that 74,611 people chose to vote early and rank their choices instead of showing up in-person to caucus. For context, in 2016, 84,000 people voted in total.
Look at the Votes Per Seat column 😮
Wrong way to frame it, IMO. More like: 97% of Green votes wasted 100% of Brexit Party votes wasted 93% of Lib Dem votes wasted 55% of Labour votes wasted 43% of Plaid Cymru votes wasted 42% of Con votes wasted 12% of SNP votes wasted (Estimates; I can't find full table)
Across Britain, it took... 🗳️864,743 votes to elect 1 Green MP 🗳️642,303 votes to elect 0 Brexit Party MPs 🗳️334,122 votes to elect a Lib Dem 🗳️50,817 votes for a Labour MP 🗳️38,316 votes for a Plaid Cymru MP 🗳️38,300 votes for a Con. MP 🗳️25,882 votes for a SNP MP #ScrapFPTP

How ranked-choice voting could bring better elections to Philadelphia
NYC will be the biggest jurisdiction to implement ranked-choice voting. Could a similar change make elections better in Philly?
Lights💡 Camera📸 Action🎬 This past month, #RankedChoiceVoting proved it is ready for the big stage. Here's how: RCV received superb media coverage, as voters in 11 cities used RCV and two cities, NYC and Easthampton, MA, adopted it. bit.ly/2NRh4qZ
A recent tweet erroneously implied that a risk-limiting audit in Philadelphia confirmed an election outcome. However, risk-limiting audits can confirm only that the outcome corresponds to the choices recorded on the ballots. Verified Voting regrets the error.
FYI, #ClimateSolutions are not as straightforward as some would have you think. Collective decisions will face conflict & NIMBY. The sooner we help people clarify & rank options, the better. Most people have no clue what it takes to get #FirstGigawattDown youtu.be/8--VSh0JUT0
