With a shortage of available lectors for Christmas Eve services and what I thought would be two short readings, I volunteered. Nope—eight readings. Eight, in a once-a-year setting, and my first time at a lectern since I was a kid. Welp—keep 1 Samuel 3:4 on my heart, I guess!
To solve what was until now a meme mystery, I started to watch Civil War (2024). Unwatchably boring by minute forty, I fast-forwarded. The Plemmons scene was a massive disappointment.
