The MLA volume on teaching Austen's *Persuasion* is out this summer. Glad to have my little contribution (on *Persuasion* as wartime novel) in good company. Thanks, Marcia, John, and all.
Enjoying an excellent discussion of Lake District tourism history with Saeko Yoshikawa, @CowtonJ, and Simon Bainbridge. #DisparateRomantics #WordsworthGras
Sometimes working at a museum means that you get to wear a costume and go on an adventure. In 2018 we headed out with a wonderful team to recreate Dorothy Wordsworth's 1818 ascent of Scafell Pike, England's tallest mountain. #MuseumPassion bit.ly/3jQjl4A

Journeywoman: Walking in the Footsteps of Dorothy Wordsworth
In Nov 1805, D & WW toured Ullswater. D wrote an account of it which, slightly altered, appeared in W's 1823 'Guide'. She also made a copy for her friends, the Beaumonts. See this brilliant new ed @MorganLibrary @EngProfPW @WordsworthGras themorgan.org/collection/dor…
Delighted to announce the revised 2nd of edition of Wordsworth’s Guide to the Lakes, ed. @EngProfPW and @nickmason_ut. Marking the 250th anniversary of WW’s birth, the revisions reveal new insights about the text’s origins, pub. history, and afterlives. bit.ly/3gxEnDF
Happy 15th anniversary to the Jerwood Centre, headquarters for all things Wordsworth (@WordsworthGras). It has been an essential resource for me and my students since my first visit in 2011: #JerwoodGrasmere2005-20.
Happy birthday! Celebrate Wordsworth's 250th by reading your favourite Wordsworth poem. I'll be going with 'Nuns fret not', as comfort against confinement.
Happy birthday Wordsworth! A birthday card on the writing table in Dove Cottage sitting room. (Thank you Judy, on WW's behalf). (The 'manuscripts' are facsimiles, by the way). #Wordsworth250 @WordsworthGras
Hard to believe it's been a year already. The impressions remain vivid. Warm wishes to everyone involved!
This time last year, I was very cold, very wet, and more intensely involved with a literary work than I have ever been. This is what I always wanted reading to be about, and so lucky to share with these marvellous co-creators
Here's a fresh installment in the #ThisGirlDid media record: a radio interview with Marcus Smith, who as always does a great job. In it, he and I talk about the October 7 Scafell Pike walk in the footsteps of Dorothy Wordsworth. byuradio.org/episode/d1ca86…

OTD 1818 Dorothy's scafell pike ascent update. We didn't make it. Very strong winds and driving rain means we got as far as Ill Crag and had to abandon the summit. Hard to make out but here's the party at the highest point. A brave effort. Character building. #wtscafellpike
Bicentennial adventures continue: #thisgirldid, @WordsworthTrust. Thanks for the pics, @JoTayl0r0.
