Single quotation marks rarely appear in US style. They're not used for "scare quotes"😉--only for quoted words/sentences within quotes. Would you be interested in a "friends with benefits" arrangement? "My Tinder date announced he wanted 'benefits, not friends,'" Lori said.

Generally, use "who" to refer to people and "that" to refer to things: "the shoes that hurt my feet" "the Tinder dude who wanted to lick my shoes" It's often fine to use "that" for people, but if you're worried about the grammar police, "who" is safer. #TipTuesday #amediting
