NEW: Farouk Ahmed has resigned. Super Dangote!

Oboi

Dangote Vs. Farouk Ahmed feud renewed: Dangote: “Mallan Farouk has four of his children whom he educated in Switzerland at a cost of $5 million for their secondary school education alone, not university. “When you look at his income, his income does not match paying this kind…

A Chinese doctor moved to the U.S. and couldn't find a job at a hospital. So he opened a small clinic and put up a bold sign that read: “Cure for $20 — If you’re not cured, get $100 back!” One day, a clever American lawyer saw the sign. “This looks like a scam,” he thought,…

Yes, corruption exists everywhere, but this level of wickedness is something I’ve mostly seen in Africa. When a relative made it to the House of Representatives years ago, the first thing he did was buy what looked like a 20-acre farm. He fenced the entire land, built something…

Congo 🇨🇩 President Felix Tshisekedi's construction company, led by one of his family members, built this bridge for 2.2 million dollars. On the day of its inauguration, it collapsed.

Responsibility doesn’t erase the sacrifice, especially when you go over-and-beyond for the child’s good. It’s not easy. I don’t need my child to repay me, but I would hope my child understands that I showed up for them with everything I had. That understanding is its own comfort.

Unpopular opinion that might ruffle feathers: parental ‘sacrifice’ is a myth. A child’s wellbeing is a parent’s responsibility, not a favour. Any sacrifice is yours to bear, not theirs to repay. Raise them fully cognizant of your challenges but know that it’s duty, not charity.

People ask these sort of questions then refuse to follow the logic through. Because they’ve been conditioned to fear questioning. If people who don’t pray get the same material things you pray for (and they do), there are only a few possibilities.

The pain of watching those who don’t pray succeed Sometimes it’s difficult to understand.

When I reported to Elon, we would have X product meetings at 5 or 6pm (because he was with the Tesla team for 10 hours before that), then my 1:1 checkin would be at 10pm, but that would regularly get moved to 11pm or midnight or 1am. Usually around 2am, he’d go take a nap for a…
