You can’t hold positions that are biblically & intellectually dishonest and expect to keep thinking, young men within a movement. Especially when you teach them they answer to God alone.

Could it be that the more prepared a preacher is, the more concise he is able to be? This doesn’t mean that the focus must be on keeping sermons short, but maybe a long sermon is less indicative of much study than it is of an inability to cleanly “land the plane.”
There's lots of things in play, of course. But one thing that's becoming clear to me is that being anti-culture cannot create culture. Being anti-establishment will establish nothing.
