I do hope he manages to get in some practice at carrying a big conical thing that’s burning at one end.

Not seen this before. Behind the scenes Paul McCartney interview - the rehearsal with Parkinson when David Gilmour and Ian Paice were in the band. McCartney very relaxed and informal. Great stuff youtu.be/SLncY7Q1hIQ?si…

Had this DVD insert for ten years. Came with the 40th anniversary LP re-release. Playing the 5.1 version for the first time tonight. Interesting to hear in 5.1. Anyone here a big fan of 5.1? I may pop down to @KEFAudio exhibition to hear on a proper system

Me explaining to young people that 2 CDs for £20 at Virgin Megastore seemed like a fairly decent deal

Stumbled across this 1999 mix CD by Rob Da Bank (Bar Culture) in a charity shop that overlaps so much with the sort of records I have been buying to DJ with recently it’s embarrassing. I need to embrace the fact I am permanently 25 years behind the times

I still don’t like CDs. The jewell cases, the fact that my CD players always break and skip, the tiny booklet etc, but when the local charity shop has compilations / mixes / stuff like this - three of these not on streaming services - for 50p a pop it’s hard not to pick stuff up

I don’t normally buy CDs, but popped into the local Barnardos and they had these four at 50p per CD. I do like a compilation, and the Pavement LP is a 2CD version with loads of extras

I’ve been doing a rewatch of the seminal 2001 British reality show Popstars and it really was the most unhinged reality show ever seen on British television. 🧵

Jus think, there's a whole generation out there that have no idea what "A PORKY PRIME CUT" means, or where you'd see it.

Do you own more than one copy of an album... If so, what record and why? Are you an obsessed fan determined to find that ultimate sounding copy, or simply forgot you already owned it. Is there another reason? Comment, email [email protected] or WhatsApp 07455680866

What's a great Brazilian/Portugese LP that you love that I may not have heard of. Ideally from the 1970s.

Not 100% sure it was first (genuinely can’t recall) but will be in the first few. 1988 was the year I bought a CD player, but would also still buy records and tapes. I know I had this on CD and bought it the day it came out

Have been attending RSD for many years now (since 2011?) and I think the people coming in to buy records for RSD yesterday were noticeably younger than before. This can only mean one thing. Collecting records makes you look younger.
