I was a fire-breathing young dynamo who decided to do the opposite of what I saw food charities do. They fed, we trained. They pointed at the problem, we proposed solutions. They begged for $$$, we earned our own. They hoped for jobs for grads, we created our own. Try it.
In the deepest part of my heart I am rejoicing over this. Black Chefs as a whole are overlooked and get skipped on vital opportunities to thrive. For female Black Chefs it’s even less. GO GET ‘EM GIRLS! 👏👏👏👏 A big HELL YEAH to whomever is organizining!
