Oh no! Not sure where the origins of this are, but working memory isn't 2 of 7 of our EFs! Almost NO two research groups agree on how many EFs there are or *which* they are (!!) but I can't even recall any EF papers claiming these are *separate.* Most definitely do not.

This post is unavailable.

Have you read any interesting papers on #ExecutiveDysfunction, #ExecutiveFunction, #ADHD or (non-problematic) #Autism lately? What was it about? Links welcome!

Over 40% of those with ADHD also have Dyslexia. If we don’t identity this within the child’s first year of education, not only will educational achievement be delayed, but increased ‘learner anxiety’ will impact on the child’s mental health & behaviour additudemag.com/dyslexia-signs…

I found @NotionHQ and hyperfocused the last week away learning ALL THE THINGS and setting it up! So far, so good! #ExecutiveDysfunction twitter, do use any apps that make your life any easier? #ADHD #neurodiverseSquad #productivity

Waiting mode—when we're stuck, unable to use the time before an upcoming event—is often a coping mechanism. It acknowledges the importance of an upcoming event and the very real risk ADHD'ers might forget about it if we don't think about it. Right. This. Second.

With ADHD, a lot of what we do or go through can be misinterpreted - by others but also by ourselves if we get told something often enough. This is the first part of my series hoping to clear up wrong assumptions and to help you find the words to communicate. Hope they help! ✨

Sorry the EDRA twitter/FB accounts have been so quiet lately! Quarantine has caused chaos and destruction of normal routines in everyone, especially folks with EDF. And definitely including me. 😅 With everyone at home, there's not been a moment of quiet to work in in months.

Since people aren't responding to something I actually need an answer to, I'm trying again: please show me a picture of you with ear defenders on, or something similar! I want to see adults who wear them. No earbuds b/c I'm not interested in those. Adults only #ActuallyAutistic

I've been hearing more about embracing staff neurodivergence, and departments making changes to do so. I really want to hear more! What would you ask for if you knew no-one would gaslight you for daring to have needs...? #AutisticsInAcademia #NeurodiverseSquad #DREADpirates
