Taking some time each day to grieve and feel our sorrows is so essential to our nature as humans. And especially so in today's time when we're bombarded with news of suffering around the world on the same platforms we use to connect with each other.

Grief is more than shortness of breath - it felt like my body was giving up on me. I wrote about what grief feels like for me because I know how hard it can be to recognize feelings as grief buff.ly/2YAlEmu

God, it was devastating leaving the church. Mormonism was our entire community, our whole life. And we had to leave it all for our own survival. And that decision comes with overwhelming grief. We wrote about how our family is dealing with this grief here buff.ly/3v4uWU7

General conference weekend seems like a great time to announce our Apostate Pride Collection! I'm so proud to be an apostate. And I'm so proud that I'm free to be proud of my pride! Read about some of the designs and shop the collection here buff.ly/3a1w0hI

This is the same with Mormonism. As I'm deconstructing the cult teachings, there is still this part of me that is shocked when reading cult descriptions and recognize the Mormon culture.

Survival mode taught you to make the best out of bad situations. In healing, may you discover you don’t have to always adjust to dysfunction.

This is important, and it's also hilarious if you look at their simulation of what the church website will look like What will the internet look like in 25 years? Find out with @InternetArchive’s new Wayforward Machine. @IA2046 wayforward.archive.org/ia2046/

Reminder: productivity culture hurts everyone, but most of all disabled people.

Coffee really is one of my favorite things about being an apostate. Back in Grad school, I drank so much coffee and usually drank it black, too. No time for cream and sugar. Just coffee. Black. This is also available as stickers, prints, and other stuff! buff.ly/3ocfcNc

Leaving the church comes with a lot of baggage. Literally. It made us sick how full our home was with cult stuff. So what do you do with all that stuff? We kept it. You can read about why we didn't burn everything in the latest article on our site buff.ly/3kCnMmd

My aunt traced our family history all the way back to Adam and Eve. So faith-affirming😇

I've grieved the loss of kids, friends, family, and I'm a CSA survivor. But Exmormon grief is...different. It's not like any other grief I've felt. You can read more about what I've learned about this grief and how our family is moving through it here exmoliving.com/exmormon-grief/

This is what comes to mind whenever I express "well, shit." Shit surrounded by a bouquet of red roses and baby's breath. And I had to turn it into a magnet. It's also available as a sticker and on things like mugs and posters from our RedBubble store😁 buff.ly/3hO1agT

We were apprehensive about drinking at first. We were so confused by the fear the church taught, we thought one drink would make us lose control. We put together a guide to help others not go through that fear and confusion. You can find it here: exmoliving.com/healthy-choice…

Every day this world tells us we don't matter. But we do matter. Our experiences matter. Our opinions matter. You matter. Because you're you. Remind yourself of that with a pin or a sticker from our RedBubble store Exmoliving.redbubble.com (and support a trans artist!)

What were your reasons for resigning from the church? Did you decide not to resign? You can read about why we decided to resign here exmoliving.com/resigning-from… And we'd like to know how you made your decision, too!
