Year 2 - Locating countries and capital cities in Africa
Wetherlam group had a great day using the low ropes and orienteering inside and also outside!
We have had lots of fun playing in the snow today. We went sledging and had lots of snowball fights!

@FrenchGaskell @ExploreGaskell 3S have been looking at Madagascar as part of our school's focus on French Around the World this afternoon. We found the country on the world map, discussing which continent it is located in, then researched interesting facts about it.
In Geography, 3S have been recapping their previous learning from Year 1 and 2, looking at Africa, the Arctic and England. @ExploreGaskell
Year 6 revisited their Geography knowledge and learned about volcanoes this week. @ExploreGaskell
1M sorted the human and physical features of our home town! @ExploreGaskell
Using atlases and google earth to identify the UK's surrounding seas. We then used our locational knowledge to describe the seas in relation to the countries in the UK @ExploreGaskell
1B went to Wilders woods to notice the seasonal changes and identify deicdious trees. We also identified the physical and human features @ExploreGaskell @GaskellScience
