Communicating with College Coaches: "Be persistent." Put yourself on their radar and then follow up any time something significant changes.


Training to failure is okay sometimes, but essentially trains your muscles to give up. Don't do more than one set per work-out.


Bouncing during a stretch increases chance of muscle strain. Be still, and try to isolate the muscle(s) you are stretching


Static (in-place) stretching cold muscles is counterproductive. Stretch at the end of your work out, unless its a dynamic stretch


Walking/running with weights can lead to stress fractures because it causes you to lean forward on quads/shins....so don't do it!

The bosu is very similar to a balance board in function but it does make it a little easier to use because of the rounded part of the ball


Casein protein (found in milk) digests slowly and feeds muscles for longer than other proteins (like whey) do
