i can feel it in my bones that this vikings game is going to be caleb’s true breakout game. having lost to them 1st time this year and the quality of that defense… this game can quiet the quality of opponents defense crowd.
giants game felt like a turning point in caleb’s mentality when it comes to running ball. the drops may be a factor in it, but maybe seeing dart was too. caleb’s mind seems to be realizing that he can be a nightmare if he utilizes this more in his primary thought process
i find it interesting that time to throw and “hero ball” was the problems with caleb according to many and now it’s when he puts that cape on that he’s at his most dangerous. keep saying… lean into it more, develop the out of pocket situation to be weapon from the word “go”.
if ben johnson ever starts utilizing loveland and burden more as primary targets, this offense is gonna take off to elite level. ben’s biggest flaw this year is not doing so from the start of season. both are mismatches all day long
as happy as i am about us getting back on top here late in 4th… do we even have a shot win this game if dart didn’t get injured? Dennis allen didnt seem to have an answer for him. thats just facts
i’m begging ben johnson to utilize burden and loveland more as primary targets in this offense.
pretty happy bears fan right now. my issues early on this year were :1. running game (kept saying we have the roster to be a good running team) 2. not utilizing loveland out the gate (we maybe win 1-2 of those early games if he was utilized) 3. sloppy execution. sold on ben
on target observation by caleb. this was a type of game that i don't remember us being in all that often as a lifelong bears fan. also a team victory again with offense picking up the defense this time at the end. they play hard for each other.
"We drafted him for a reason — to make plays like that in the big moments" - Caleb Williams on @ChicagoBears rookie Colston Loveland (@AKinkhabwala)
monangai had a huge day. but a big factor in the run game today was the misdirection i have been asking for since week 2. also monangai has me sold as a power runner now. run blocking was also extremely good today by all, including wrs. it's bengals, but execution was there
flacco got a better idea of what its like to have amazing days and lose. burrow knows how that man feels oh too well.
i can't even believe the roller coaster i was just on with this bears game. loveland finally being seen as a mismatch we can exploit. i was preparing for utter pain and this team didn't give up. huge win.
fellow bears fans need to stop paying so much attention to announcers and focus on what matters. this last week was one of the worst media weeks. please, there is more to talk about than moose and aikman. please jesus, not another week of this…
bears defense is playing amazing…. but now we get to see how that stacks up against an offense like the ravens/lamar and a back like henry. would love to see a statement game for both our offense and defense.
so much went well with today’s game and our own sloppiness was our greatest opponent. ravens game is going to be a test of where we are. their record doesn’t give context of strength of opposition they’ve had and lamar injury.
all this aikman rage is dumb. hope ben and team are just focusing on taking accountability for mistakes and fixing them. a lot more improvement needed before ravens game. make it a statement game.
happy we got our first win vs a team that was playoff worthy. can't look past saints, but ravens game could be a statement game if ben simply utilizes what we have better and defense steps up. lots to clean up and ben hopefully learns how to utilize roschon and TEs by then.
happy that ben johnson utilized swift properly tonight. supports what i have been saying. run him outside which is his strength. but.... pissed that roschon is not being utilized in this run game for short yardage. that 3rd and 1 should have been under center - ball to roschon.
sweet baby jesus! #bears win!!! ben smiling, but kinda pissed at him for the moment. sweet baby jesus gets the game ball if i'm coach. #bears #commanders
