Lord, we are in awe of your zeal for us. You care for us so much that you sent your son to earth. We thank you that he is our hope as our Wonderful Counselor, our joy as our Mighty God, our love as our Eternal Father, &our peace as our Prince of Peace.

Lord, we know that it is your love for us that has you keeping your promises and covenants to us. Help us to be like Simeon, actively anticipating your second advent. We ask that our belief & perseverance will be your light to others, as everyone needs your love and comfort...

Lord, you have forgiven our sins; we are in awe of your ability to forgive us, for we have sinned. But we know that it is a part of your love for us... We know that the only way we can truly show Your love and forgiveness to others is through You working in us. Please help us...

Lord, thank you that you love us, that you sent your Son down to be our atonement so we can have eternal life with you. Help us display your love fully & completely, especially to the outcast, the vulnerable, the poor, the sick. Let us be a representation of Your love on earth.

Lord, when we are in difficult situations, we often respond as Ahaz, questioning & not trusting you. Yet, we know that you love us, & we can trust in you to save us. You have fulfilled your promises. The fulfillment of promises helps us remember your love & you will save us.

Lord, help us cultivate a spirit of joy like Elizabeth. One that radiates from us. One that gives strength to us, but also to those around us, especially those who need it. Help us grow closer to you, and as we do so, let our joy in you grow as well. #adventwithfaast

Lord, the Bible shows us constantly that you have fulfilled your promises. Let us hold fast to these examples & your promises, including that you sent Your son to earth so we may be your children. We are joyous to be brought into your family & be known as one of your own.

Lord, as the shepherds came to you physically dirty, we come to you spiritually unclean & in need of purifying. Thank you that you are true to Your word, coming to earth to be our savior & redeemer. It is through you that we find cleansing from our sins & impurities, and rejoice.

Lord, we ask that you help us be like Joseph, a righteous person who has faith in you & cares for your moral law. Help us protect a person’s dignity... Let us show your care & compassion to those around us... Give us empathy and compassion, so they may find Your healing...

Lord, it does not seem like much has changed in the world since Habakkuk lamented to you... But like Habakkuk, we rejoice in you, our salvation. Help us remember this at all times, not just Advent. In you, we find strength. You will guide us safely through difficult paths.

Lord, you are our salvation, the life-giving water that never runs dry. It is open to all people to come and drink freely. You saved people from both literal & spiritual enslavement of sin, will continue to do so. It is in Your saving mercy that we find freedom.

Lord, we are joyful that you reign & you have provided us with salvation through sending your Son down to us. Just as David & John were joyful, let us be joyful as well, shouting from the mountaintops the good news of your salvation that brings comfort & redemption to all people.
