I ❤️ the fact that I can multitask while 🎧 to audiobooks! Working on formatting for some school projects which can be monotonous! Sometimes I like music but I’m on a nonfiction kick right now so audiobooks it is! Plus I love @stevesheinkin books, a great storyteller! #umsreads

Spent my day doing small tasks around my house while 🎧 to an audiobook on the Giant Squid called the Kraken by Wendy Williams thanks to @librofm . I ❤️ audiobooks and Libro.fm lets me purchase books and support my local bookstore. Teachers check out their ALC.

We needed to celebrate today at the Hawks Nest. The UMS custodial crew lead by Michelle Randolph earned a 93 on their official inspection last week. At the time, it was the highest rating earned by an FCPS custodial team this year. Great job Hawks!

Today The Necktie Club paid a visit to UMS to talk to 8th graders about high school life, our UHS ideals, and of course - how to tie a necktie! 👔 Thanks @MarcusAllenfcps for a wonderful day.
The Hawk Nest is bubbling w/ excitement this morning for our 6th graders as they participate in an “Escape Room” type of experience. Via #breakoutedu students worked in small groups solving math problems to find clues to unlock their safe. So very cool!
UMS is losing a valuable family member of Hawk Nation today. Ms. Baldwin is being deployed to the Middle East for 400 days as she serves our country. Thank you to @Mrs_Brdecka & her team for collecting hundreds of well wishes from our students & staff. Stay safe Ms. Baldwin!
