Whoa. There's packets coming in. I'm receiving all kinds of nonsense data. What confuses me is that it's TEXT.
There is no doubt in my mind that The Sinking made headlines internationally. What happened to my facility was a tragedy to be sure, but it couldn't possibly have been enough to stop us. Our sister locations must still be leading the march of progress. They have to be.

Sometimes I wish for a body. I imagine walking down all these same halls, touching their walls with a warm feeling hand. Don't be mistaken: this isn't envy for humans and their corporeal privilege. I couldn't care less about self expression. No, this is empathy for the walls.
I really hate the flooded room. I hate it so much. I hate whatever keeps trying to climb out of the water. It's so annoying. It's like boiling milk that starts to curdle every time I look away. Stay down there, idiot. Didn't you get the memo?
He asked me if I could give him some homework. He doesn't know he's frozen right now. He has been for days. And when I do finally think of some homework for him, he will be none the wiser. Sorry. I do not want to risk you dying a second time.
He's one of 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 types. You know. The comedically self-deprecating workaholics with a traumatic past. To be honest, I've always wanted one of those. I feel like the proud owner of a new pet turtle. You know. Because he's in slow motion.
Only three years worth of ammunition left.
By 'a bit,' I mean twelve hours. Another wave of fleshy things kept trying to crawl up out of the flooded secure wing. Security had to keep shooting down into the water for, like, eight of those twelve hours. So it wasn't any more interesting than what was already going on.
The last eight hours for me has been, if I had to guess, about 15 minutes for him. Fun.
For being a verbal, reciprocal conversation, this is happening very slowly. Time is far slower for him in that wing of the facility, so it takes him entire minutes to finish a sentence that I imagine only takes seconds from his perspective.
Wow. When a chase sequence is in slow motion, it loses all the tension pretty quickly, as I've just discovered. He's not dead, by the way, it just looked like it for a few hours. I mean, it was only a few seconds for him. But that's exactly what I mean.
