When you ask people about the books that changed their lives - the ones that really made an impact, shaping them at the deepest levels, never to be forgotten - they almost always mention CHILDREN'S BOOKS. That's why I think children's books are the most important books of all!

Yesterday evening, in #Bristol’s #RedlandLibrary, Richard Gadz gave a great talk on “Dracula & Frankenstein: their literary roots”. Learnt so much about Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker and their contemporaries.
