Matt Poitras made the NHL out of training camp at 19, 20 and is now back in the AHL after recording 1.05 PPG while making it look relatively easy in that league. He’s still a better option than several players and needs to play in the NHL to get better against NHL’ers. #NHLBruins
I think it’s more of an indictment on players like Lysell and Poitras that they cannot beat out plugs like Viel and Eyssimony for playing time, or even a spot on the roster. This has now happened under multiple coaches (Montgomery, Sacco, Sturm).
